Brand New Coaches

We have two newly qualified level one coaches joining Chris, Vicky and David this year so congratulations to Mike Vergien and Ray Smith and thank you for giving up your time to take the course. We have also had a new member join us who is a level 2 qualified coach, Colin Summerhayes. He has agreed to join the coaching team. Welcome Colin (sorry no picture yet).

Colin has been a bowler since 2005 and joins us from Castle Green in Guildford and has been a level 2 coach since 2010.

The new season is nearly upon us so it’s time to polish your bowls and prepare for another action packed year.

There are more league and friendly matches than ever this year plus an extra Sunday rollup to add to Friday Club Night, Monday afternoon Rollup and Tuesday Night Triples, so it’s time to think about improving your game.

Refresher Coaching
Monday Evenings from 6pm to 7 pm has been reserved for Club Coaching.
As soon as the coaches have bandwidth after teaching all the new bowlers that we recruit through our open day on 27th April, we will be offering coaching to both recent recruits and established bowlers. We can ALL improve our game!
Watch out for notices on the inside notice board and on the DBC Web Site and put your name down to reserve a place on the sessions.
The suggested sessions are :
1. Improve your delivery
2. Line and Length workshop
3. Team roles and match etiquette
4. Reading the head and Shot Selection.
Coaching will be in small groups and in simulated match situations.
