Mens May Match Summary
ESL League
An excellence start to the ESL this year with DBC winning all their games. Our points tally has been impressive taking maximum points and are currently top of the league but face some tough opponents early in June. Well done to all the players.
Guildford Triples
It's been a frustrating start to the Guildford Triples League with 4 matches scheduled for May, we played only 1, which was a loss away at Godalming. Two other games against Merrow and Woodbridge Hill were rained off and will be rescheduled for later in the summer. In the fourth, Albury were unable to raise a team so we have been given 6 points for the default.
Border League
The Border League campaign kicks off in early June with a home match against local rivals Newdigate.
NSL League
End of May and we're all a bit fed up with grey, rainy days but, despite all the rain, the green is holding up very well and so we played our first NSL match of the season at home versus Supreme.
It was a satisfactory result for Dorking played in very good spirits by both teams.
Dorking won 2 out of 3 rinks and achieved 8 out of 10 points. Well done team!
I might add that we received very high praise for the quality of our green.
Finally, please put your names down for matches. We have had to work very hard to field teams sometimes.
