Open Day Saturday 7 May
There was a great turn-out for our Open Day - 30 potential new members came and had a go at bowls. Some were completely new to the game and some returning.
We had a large contingent of volunteers to welcome our guests and to start the coaching. Our qualified coaches had coaching buddies to help and we also had to spread out across all 6 rinks - lucky we have enough training bowls.......
It was nice to see couples coming along to share in this very sociable sport and everyone had time for one to further pointers and another go after the inital 4 person sessions.
12 o'clock came too quickly, but at least there was tea and biscuits or a drink at the bar to welcome everyone back into the clubhouse.
Some even stayed on to watch the afternoon match - such was their enthusiasm.
