Tuesday Night Triples - final day
Another season of Tuesday Night Triples drew to a close. The main competition had four teams battling it out on a round-robin each Tuesday night for 17 weeks (although lost 2 due to weather). MARS were the eventual winners by a great margin - a very strong team who only lost twice. Congratulations to Paul Mc, Jim, Alec, Jan, Trevor and Kevin. Always close to the jack - could their bowls have magnets?
The new members also started their own triples competition - a great way to progress from their training. There was always a good turnout which shows their enthusiasm and commitment. Their winning team was Pumas - on the night was Gail, Moira and Mick, who were also presented with a mini bowls trophy on the night..
A trophy was presented to the MARS team on Sunday Finals day
Thanks should go to all those involved in both organising and making it happen. To name a few - Eric, Karen, Ray and our cooks (Pat & Marion for the sausages through the season).
After the presentations of wine and chocolates, we had Eric's famous Curry (a culinary delight for all) and the raffle - still scratching our heads trying to work out who won that last prize.
