2025 Season - week 11 results

A week of highs and some lows again. It started with a postponed (due to heat) match in the GTL, that dropped us to 8th in the league. This was followed by an overall loss in the NDL at Old Coulsdon, with Martin, Patricia T., and John S. being our only winning rink. It seemed like Paul C., Paula, and Trevor T. forgot to bring their bowls and our Chairman left very grumpy after losing his wallet (and his game). 

Our good Ray rebounded the next day with lots of smiles, when the whole team played well against Downsman in the Border League - taking all 10 points and leaving us in control of 1st place in that league.

Unfortunately the ladies could not keep their winning streak going in the Surrey Ad. - losing to the league leaders Bookham B.

The week was complete when the men had another clean sweep and 10 points in the ESL against Purley in a well fought game. The highlight was Martin, John Byrne, Hugo, and John S. getting a 2 on the last end to win by one shot. This leaves us solidly in 2nd place in the ESL. The Ladies friendlies evened out with one won, one lost - an exciting finish for Marian, Paula, and Patricia T. who hung on to win their rink by just one shot.
