2026 Dorking Finals weekend - all the action
What a fabulous finale weekend to the 2026 internal competitions that started way back in May. Played over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the 14 finals culminated in some very closely fought matches. After the heat of the last couple of months - it was good to get some cooler weather - gratefully received by the players and large crowd watching. All games were played in good spirit and were all entertaining. It was also busy for some finalists having to play 3 matches over the days. Alan Wall and Trevor Thomas did manage 3 trophies and Sheila Bentley two - but most other honours were spread evenly. Thanks must go to everyone who took part over the season and to all the markers who volunteered their time. Thanks also to Graham and Kevin for organising and scheduling. The Sunday session was followed by a bring a 'plate-a-plate' food bonanza - people are very generous. The last thing to mention was that the 'hunt the egg' raffle large prize [nearly £200] that has been building over the season was finally won by Greyham - thanks to Trevor for organising. and now the pictures ......
