2026 Season Week 13 Results
The hotter weather finally eased and the week looked busy with some rearranged matches due to be played along with the regular schedule.
However, Purley Bury did not send a team to play the rearranged NDL match and had to concede, giving us all 10 points. Similarly, Albury could not field a team in the GTL and we were given all the points in that as well.
Bowling started with an NDL away at a tricky Godstone green, where we won on one rink and left with 2 points. With this plus the earlier points from Purley Bury, we jumped up the league to 6th.
We then took on a strong Woodbridge Hill team in the rescheduled GTL and our 'old codgers' took a win on one rink and squeaked an overall win by just one shot. This gave us another 4 points and solidified our position at the top of the league.
The Border League team away at Felbridge managed a very creditable win on one rink, keeping us in 4th place overall, just hanging on above the relegation positions.
The Ladies had a close SurreyAd match but took a loss, leaving them in 4th place in the league.
The week finished with a rescheduled ESL match against Purley Bury. Once again, we had a win on one rink and 2 points earned, but not enough to move us out of the relegation position.
