2025 Candlelight Bowls
Slightly earlier in the calendar meant an 8 o'clock later sunset start - but we had 13 turned up for the Bowling by Candlelight this year. I think the forecast of showers and no sausages had put some people off. But we had an interesting time in the dark - with some bowls whizzing past before we saw them coming down and others stopped halfway up whilst we were still waiting for them to appear. A variety of torches 'helped' light up the evening - some definitely needing new batteries and some needed to be dimmed !! Only 10 ends - but that was enough to have fun and not get too cold. Thanks to those who came and set up the 'battery candles' in nice straight lines so we had some clue where our rink boundary was 
and a special thank you to Eric for surprising us with cooked chicken drumsticks after the game. Thanks to the photographers of the night also. Everyone was a winner.
