2025 Captains Charity
Fantastic Captains Charity (brilliantly organised) day and where everyone was a winner. The theme was Beach Boys - and we had a great variety of costumes - fine effort by everyone. I think the local charity shops must be empty.
14 Triples teams battled it out for the kudos rather than a prize. 16 ends were spliced with 'special ends - Millenium, blind/wrong hand/Two jacks - so some big scores. Two teams ended with a whopping 38 !! Then it was a pulled pork and salad meal that had been masterly cooked overnight by Mike and Wendy. It was Michelin starred quality. This was follwed by a dessert equally great. Raffle prizes donated were plentiful - thank you - and it seemed that nearly everyone received one. The main winner was Tadworth Childrens Trust as we raised over £500 for this year's charity.
