2025 Presidents Day - Closing Drive
The annual match of President versus Vice-President teams was on Sunday. This was also the closing drive for the season with all league fixtures and internal competitions now completed. We had 7 games of triples to decide who won the trophy this year. But first - the ever favourite Spider competition. As can be seen by the first photo - Eric took his life in his hands and presided on the winner right next to the football - with players picking their launch position around the Green. It was close - but in the end won by Kevin. The games were also very close and had been chosen carefully (??) to match skill/experience/role. Based on number of shots - it was our President's Barbara's day - and Barbara presented the trophy to herself 
. The best winning team was Chris Y, Pauline C and Kevin M and (least?) best score was Carmel S, John J and John S.
We then settled down to a banquet of 'bring a plate' dishes with, as usual, lots left over. A lovely end to the season with some farewells - see you next year - but hopefully a lot returning for the winter social programme.
