2026 Eastbourne Bowls Tour
This is our fourth Bowls Tour under the great Vicky and Charlie's management - 3 in the Bournemouth area and now around Eastbourne. It has been a fun trip again [and we also played bowls] - although as Kevin pointed out "... we have once again completed our mission to boost the confidence of the Clubs we visit whilst spreading cheer and mirth". So yes we lost again overall - but the main thing was that we enjoyed ourselves and built up good friendships.
Vicky managed to find us a good hotel that was larger than previous and there was at least 5 coaches filling the place. This meant that the bar and entertainment room was packed - but our group of 30 still managed to be the dance floor fillers and we also won the bingo twice 
. The entertainment was rather good - with lots to sing along to and shake our booties. The food was also good - with the service excellent. As with all the old hotels, the lifts were quirky - only space for 3 people at a time - but we managed play sardines and squeeze in.
Vicky is stepping back from organising the next tour and we have to give a huge thank-you for all the time and effort put into making the tours such a massive success. It wasn't easy at times and there are now big shoes to fill. Kevin has already started to see who's wants to take part in a tour next year - and there was even talk about going to Portugal.
So a lovely time for everyone - with Eastbourne even orgainising a concert and fireworks at the bandstand for us
