Captains Kick-Off the Season
Our Club Captains held a 'get together' on Friday. It was a good chance to catch up with everyone and outline all the different competitions/leagues/friendlies/roll-ups that we have during the summer months - starting with this Sunday's Opening Drive. There are the roll-ups: Sunday morning, Monday afternoon and Friday evening (followed by social) - plus (nearly forgot) the famous Tuesday Night Triples. We are in 6 Leagues and associated knock-outs - with many friendlies. We have also entered teams for Surrey and National competitions and not forgetting the 10 internal competitions with the draw to take place soon. So a lot going on ....
We had some rousing speeches from our Captains and Chairman about how well the Club is doing in the Leagues and what great spirit and support we have with our team mates.
As if the evening couldn't get any better ...... we then had slices of pizza.
