Social Short Mat
Another exciting and hilarious evening at the Clubhouse for our Short Mat social on Friday. The slightly (?) uneven floor did not help our bowling with a lot of bowls going off the Mat or hitting the wooden block, Those bowls that did make it through into the scoring end were met with oohs and ahhs and even some cheers. 18 took part in the mini round robin competition with one team (forgot who they were !!) winning all their matches. But everyone was a winner by having a good night out. Thanks to Roland and Pauline for organising, Eric for the rolls (hope the AA have turned up by now) and James for manning the bar. Thanks also to Steve and Ted for getting the Mat ready also. Not many winter socials left - but a new addition of Bingo has been added for next week.
