Another fantastic bowls tour of the Bournemouth area for three friendly matches beautifully organised by Vicky and Charlie (HUGE thanks from everyone). The hotel was better, the clubs even friendlier, and we actually won (well one out of three) - but still we achieved one gold and two silvers. The only thing was slightly less dancing this year (who really wants two quizzes, a bingo and just one singer as our hotel evening entertainment) - but we still had a great time in the bar. Our group of 34 really jelled which makes the tour such a brilliant social event and we get to know each other so much better and hear the odd snippet (who knew about the BAT aversion) . 
We had friendlies against Poole Park, Dorchester and Bournemouth (Pelhams). We even fielded 7 rink teams against Poole Park. Everyone had a game - some lucky people even played three times. We were picked up by our friendly coach driver Danny after breakfast and taken to Poole/Dorchester town centres for a morning of discovery in this lovely region and then a quick snack lunch before taken to the Clubs. After the game we were treated to a drink and then the presentations. This year, we even had our own 'thank-you' song - we now know who really can sing in the shower and who should be locked in the basement. We have set a trend and there might even be an album coming out later this year.
A lovely end of season event and one that we all hope will stay in our calendar. Now onto the pictures .......
